Playgrounds in Israel are not concerned with kids hurting themselves. They are more interested in fun than safety. These are the types of playgrounds that were still around when I was little. Posted by Picasa

I couldn't let him have all the fun. Posted by Picasa

Tubes make for interesting frames. Posted by Picasa

He's not quite big enough for this sort of activity, but he loved the tube. He kept putting his face up against it to look out at us. Posted by Picasa

This is Shmulie at the local park. He moves so fast now that we're starting to feel that we have to be everywhere at once. I was running back and forth to both ends of the tube, and michele was there too keeping an eye on things. But he's still a blur. Most of the shots didn't come out because he's always on the move. Posted by Picasa

Oh look, some pachyderms. Posted by Picasa

I find that with digital cameras you get a lot of "epiphany pictures" (coined here first). You hold the camera at the height of the subject, but the subject continues to look at you as you plead with him to smile. The result is a smile of wonderment into the distant unknown. The results can be duplicated by a passing car or some wandering pachyderms that catch the eye. Posted by Picasa

This is the only real good spot for pictures near our apartment. It's a bench under a cedar and an olive tree. You might have seen a few pictures taken from here. Posted by Picasa

Shmulie just flew in from Siberia, and boy are his arms tired. Posted by Picasa

No, Shmulie isn't a stoner. His busy box just makes him high on life. Posted by Picasa
